What We Will Do For Our Children

Today was my youngest 1st field trip with her preschool. We invited my oldest daughter and my grandson to come with us. I figured he would enjoy going.  So we set out this chilly rainy October morning for Waterman's Farm. 17 adults and 23 kids. It wasnt idea weather to go to a pumpkin patch, but it didnt seem to bother the kids. They had fun splashing through rain puddles, squishing through the mud, the hay ride, picking out pumpkins, but I think the part they liked the best was the pumpkin eating dinosaur. The kids got to watch the dinosaur eat 10 pumpkins as they ate their snack.
As adults it really does help to hang out with people under 5 they help you see things in a different way. Just because it's not idea doesnt mean it cant be fun. Watching their little faces while picking out the just right pumpkin was amazing. I would have liked warmer drier weather, but I wouldnt trade today for anything!
